Marketlink Honors Four Employee Leaders

Each year Marketlink presents awards to their staff employees for “Above and Beyond,”“Commitment to Excellence” and “Most Positive Employee.” The winners are chosen from nominations by their co-workers. Winners were announced at their holiday lunch on December 11th: Dan Bern, Team Manager in the Storm Lake, IA center and Tonya Goos, Businesslink Senior Project Manager were awarded the Commitment to Excellence Award; Blaine Lee, Fairmont, MN Call Center Manager was presented with the Above and Beyond Award; Peter Goddard, Training Manager received the Most Positive Employee Award.
“These are well-deserved honors for these employees ,” said John M. Miksich, President. “We appreciate their leadership and commitment in helping us serve our clients and each other as we continue to grow our company in 2009.”
Marketlink Expands 8%

Marketlink, Inc., is expanding its calling capacity by 8% to meet increased customer demand for its outbound telemarketing services. The expansion will mean at least 20 new jobs at one of the firm’s Des Moines call centers.
“We are pleased that one of our largest customers will be significantly increasing its outbound calling program with us beginning in December,” said John M. Miksich, President. “In tough economic times, more companies begin to evaluate their sales and marketing costs and come to realize that telephone sales can be a very cost effective tactic.”
Employees Increase United Way Giving

Marketlink's employees in central Iowa increased their giving to the United Way 10% over last year. "Nearly 80% of our employees participated with a gift this year which is a terrific commitment," said John M. Miksich, President. "As we all know, given the state of the economy, the need for support is greater than ever. "Marketlink increased its corporate contribution 10% to match the employees' commitment.
Experienced Leader Joins Marketlink Team

Kim Higginbotham has joined Businesslink, a division of Marketlink, Inc., as Contact Center Manager. Higginbotham was formerly Call Center Manager at Customer Research in Seattle, WA. Prior to that, she served as Call Center Manager for American Healthways, Inc., a leader in the health care support industry.
“We’re very pleased to have Kim join our Businesslink team”, said John Miksich, President. “She brings more than six years of experience in contact center management and marketing in the B2B marketplace.” Kim is a graduate of Mankato State University.
Businesslink, headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa, specializes in business-to-business teleservices solutions, including market research/surveys, lead generation and qualification, and sales.

Fairmont Call Center Celebrates 7 years

Marketlink’s Fairmont Call Center will celebrate its 7th anniversary in April. The center opened in 2001 with 13 employees and has grown to more than 80 staff and telephone sales representatives.
“Our firm has had great success over the years, and our Fairmont Call Center has been a key contributor to that success,” said Bob Beaman, Vice President of Operations. “The Fairmont community is an important partner in Marketlink’s success.”
The Center serves the cable TV industry on a national basis by providing sales calls on behalf of cable TV operators.

Marketlink’s Fairmont Call Center Earns President’s Award

Marketlink’s Fairmont Call Center has earned the company’s 2007 President’s Achievement Award for outstanding performance in meeting sales and quality goals. This is the second year in a row and the third win for this center since they opened in 2001.
Bob Beaman, Vice President of Operations, added, “We have a great team of employees and I attribute our earning this award again to the quality of the workforce in the Fairmont area. I am proud of their performance and dedication to Marketlink.”
The Fairmont Center specializes in telephone sales of cable television services to cable subscribers across the country. The Center is located at 498 South State Street. They operate from 8:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. and offer a variety of work schedules.
